INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- The surfaces to be bonded must be dry and free from grease and dust.
- The surfaces to be bonded must fit closely together.
- Metal surfaces must be cleaned with spray gun solvent prior to application.
- Stir the adhesive well.
- Apply an even film of adhesive on both surfaces crosswise with a strong brush or spreader for coating large surfaces.
- Porous materials must be coated twice; the second time after the first layer is dry.
- When the coat of adhesive is just tacky (20-30 minutes) and does not longer transfer to your finger upon touching, the surfaces can be brought together.
- Take care to position the materials accurately, because once the joint is made, they cannot be adjusted by sliding.
- Apply pressure. For small surfaces firmly tap the surfaces with a rubber hammer. For larger surfaces roll with a pressure roll.
- The use of clamps or press is suggested. The pressure must then be sufficiently high and evenly applied to the entire surface.
REMARKS
- Do not use at temperatures below +5oC. At low temperatures care must be taken that the temperature of the adhesive and of the surfaces to be bonded is higher than the ambient temperature. Cold materials have a strong tendency to attract the moisture present in the surrounding air. Moisture on the adhesive film may have a negative effect on the bond and will lead to unsatisfactory results.
- Bumps and gaps reduce the contact surface therefore will lead to unsatisfactory bonding results.
- Air bubbles can be avoided by rolling the material during fixing specially for large surfaces.
