Description

ISOMIX FERRO PRIME is brushable cement-based dry mix anticorrosion sealing slurry. It is suitable for protection of steel reinforcements from corrosion and also acts as a bonding agent between the old and new mortar and concrete in repair works. Based on the latest innovative technology M.C.I. (migratory corrosion inhibitors) it exhibits excellent anti-corrosion and adhesion properties Colour dark red.

APPLICATIONS

Protection of exposed steel reinforcements in repair works of damaged concrete from earthquakes, carbonization and frost or from inefficient cover during concrete pouring.
Protection of steel reinforcements in thin building elements or in cases where the structural elements are exposed in high humidity.
Application as a bonding agent between old and new concrete layer or mortar.

Instructions for use

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Steel reinforcements must be stable, free of rust, dust, grease etc.
Concrete must be free of loose materials, dust, grease etc.
Add gradually ISOMIX FERRO PRIME into water under continuous stirring until a uniform lump- free paste is formed (water addition: 30% – 40%).
Application on steel reinforcements: apply with a medium hardness brush in two layers max 1mm thick. Second layer must be applied after the previous one has dried.
Application as a bonding agent: apply with a brush in one layer max 2mm thick. Application of concrete or mortar layer must be applied wet on wet.
