Cementboard primer
ISOMIX FIX & COAT is a specially formulated product, combining acrylic resins, various fillers and special additives which, when mixed with Portland cement, is suitable for repairing, smoothing, joint filling and coating of cement boards, as well as surfaces made of concrete or wall plaster. It is also suitable for bonding insulating and reinforcing materials on common building surfaces (walls, concrete boards, plaster etc) and for priming and coating insulation materials.

- Priming of smooth surfaces, as an adhesion bridge, before the application of wall plaster or acrylic stucco.
- Repair and joint filling of concrete boards and concrete
- Reinforcing of old wall plasters and loose surfaces in general.
- Laying exterior reinforcing mesh on walls.
- Bonding of insulation materials on walls.
- Priming and coating of insulation materials.
It is advisable to perform a suitability test prior to full scale application.

Surface preparation
Surfaces must be dry and clean from dust, grease, loose particles and other contamination
Mixing
The mix of ISOMIX FIX & COAT is prepared using a heavy duty mixer and mixing thoroughly at 300-500 rpm, adding an equal volume of Portland cement and approximately 500-700 gr of water for each 4 kg container. After the initial mixing, the blend is left to age for 5 to 10 minutes and then it is stirred again before use.
Application
- As a coating, the homogenously mixed material is spread with a stainless steel smooth trowel, leaving a uniform layer of 5 mm thickness, on the cement board, concrete, wall plaster and insulating material.
- As a bonding material for the reinforcing mesh ISOMIX FIBER GLASS NET 5110 or 6145, the mixed material is spread on the surface and then the mesh is sunk in it while fresh. If it is necessary a second thin layer can be applied in order to cover completely any visible sign of the mesh.
- In the same way big cracks and large joints can be repaired by bonding reinforcing tape ISOMIX FIBRE TAPE on them for coverage.
- As a bonding material for insulating boards, the mixed product is applied with a toothed trowel in a uniform layer and then, while still fresh, the bottom part of the board is sunk into it.
