Surface preparation

1. All surfaces must be dry and clean, free from dirt, rust, wax, grease, resins and other contaminants that would affect adhesion.
2. New or bare wood: sand the surface thoroughly. Remove dust.
3. Previously finished surfaces: previous finish does not need to be removed if in sound condition. If in poor condition remove finish with paint stripper and sand smooth. Remove dust.
4. Metal or high gloss surfaces: remove gloss by sanding to lightly roughen surface in order to ensure adhesion. Remove dust.
5. Apply with a brush 1 or 2 coats of the basecoat PGP FAUX WOOD PRIMER. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours.

Application

1. Stir thoroughly before and during use.
2. Apply first coat with a brush in the direction of the intended wood grain. Allow to dry for at least 12 hours.
3. Apply the second coat with a brush and create realistic wood grain patterns using the PGP WOOD GRAING TOOL. Allow coat to dry for 24 hours. High humidity or low temperature will extend drying time.
4. Follow with an application of a third transparent coat by brush covering the entire area for extra protection.
